AmaWaterways has opened reservations for its 2025 river cruise itineraries, with savings of up to 20 percent on bookings made by September 30, 2023*.

The 2025 programme includes a host of new options including two new ships and two new itineraries.

Rudi Schreiner, Co-Founder and President of AmaWaterways said:

“With 2023 shaping up to be a very successful year and all indications pointing to a record-breaking 2024, we could not be more excited to announce the opening of reservations for our 2025 itineraries.

“To meet the growing demand for river cruising, we will have additional ships in Colombia and Portugal, which brings our award-winning fleet to 29 river cruise ships welcoming between 28 and 196 guests each.

“We are also introducing a new seven-night Imperial Danube itinerary on the Danube and bringing back our 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary taking guests from Amsterdam to Budapest, which will appeal to new and returning guests that want to spend a little extra time exploring the fascinating art, music, history and culinary delights across this region.”

New Ships: AmaMelodia and AmaSintra

AmaWaterways will be the first major river cruise line to take guests along the Magdalena River in Colombia, with the launch of the luxurious 60-passenger AmaMagdalena in November 2024.

In June 2025, AmaMelodia will join her sistership offering 32 twin-balcony staterooms.

On both ships, guests can enjoy locally inspired Latin American cuisine, immersive excursions and a variety of lively entertainment representative of the country’s colourful culture.

AmaWaterways is offering guests the choice between two seven-night itineraries, Wonders of Colombia and Magic of Colombia, sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla with pre- and post-cruise optional land packages in Medellin, Colombia and Panama City.

The seven-night Magic of Colombia cruise on AmaMelodia costs from £2,800 per person for departures from June to August 2025, including a 5% early cruise saving.

AmaSintra will join its golden sistership, AmaDouro, and the AmaVida for memorable journeys along the Douro River.

AmaSintra will offer a choice of two highly sought-after seven-night itineraries – the Enticing Douro, a roundtrip journey from Porto and the equally exciting Flavours of Portugal & Spain.

The seven-night Enticing Douro cruise on AmaSintra costs from £2,878 per person for the 26th December 2025 departure, including a 10% early cruise saving.

New Itinerary: Imperial Danube

In 2025, AmaWaterways will launch Imperial Danube, a new seven-night itinerary sailing roundtrip from Budapest, Hungary, on the iconic Danube River.

As well as taking in the scenic cruising around the Danube Bend, travellers will enjoy visits to Bratislava, Durnstein and Vienna.

Guests can opt for a two-night, pre-cruise land package in Budapest to further immerse themselves in the city’s exciting culinary scene and rich Jewish heritage before embarking on their river cruise adventure.

The seven-night Imperial Danube cruise costs from £1,716 per person for the departure on 9 February 2025 on AmaMagna, including a 20% early cruise saving.

 Returning Itinerary: Magnificent Europe

With the increased demand for longer holidays, AmaWaterways is pleased to bring back its 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary in 2025.

The fourteen-night Magnificent Europe cruise costs from £4,509 per person for the departure on 12 April 2025 on AmaViola, including a 10% early cruise saving.
