The online cruise specialist recorded a 13% year-on-year increase in bookings made during July 2026 for cruises departing within a three-month period – July, August or September.
Searches followed the same trend, with 26% more searches made in July 2026 for cruises departing between July and September than during the equivalent period in 2025.
The figures suggest growing demand for last-minute cruise holidays, as well as more opportunities for holidaymakers to secure a late deal.
Tony Andrews, Managing Director at Seascanner.co.uk, said: “There are some great opportunities for anyone hoping to snap up a late cruise bargain this year. More and more ships are hitting the water, which means thousands more cabins are up for grabs.
“At the same time, bookings from big overseas markets such as the US and Australia are looking softer, with everything from extreme weather and global tensions making some travellers think twice about long-haul trips. That could spell good news for flexible Brits looking to get away in the next few months.
“A late deal does not necessarily mean packing your bags tomorrow. Looking up to three months ahead can open up more choice, particularly for travellers who are flexible about dates, departure ports and cabin grades.
