G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions are introducing 30 new itineraries (24 new National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and six newly updated National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures).

Travellers will enjoy new ways to experience the world through the people, stories and communities that bring each destination to life.
More than gazing upon landscapes, visiting monuments or marvelling at architectural feats, these trips focus on the most meaningful takeaways from travel – the purposeful connections made with the people who live in, work in and help protect the destination.
Through their knowledge and personal stories, travellers unlock a side of the destination that is unknowable by just sightseeing.
From Buddhist scholars and local winemakers to wildlife specialists, historians, naturalists and families who open their homes to travellers, the new itineraries put the “who” behind the “where” at the heart of the experience.
Rather than simply seeing a destination, travellers are invited to understand it through the people who live there, work there, preserve its traditions and help shape its future, said G Adventures in a statement.
The collaboration between G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions has always offered curious travellers new ways to explore the world, and these trips raise the bar by putting people, stories and connections first. Because the people who know a place best can change a traveller’s perception of it.
National Geographic’s legacy of science, exploration, education and storytelling is evident on every trip, along with hands-on experiences that support G Adventures’ community tourism mission, providing travellers with the opportunity to connect with local communities in a meaningful way.
The launch includes the introduction of six updated trips to the National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures collection, which are led by two dedicated Expedition Leaders: one keeps kids engaged, entertained, and learning through play, while the other manages logistics and discovery.
New to each itinerary are Junior Explorers Night where kids get their own evening (separate from but close to parents) to connect with other kids, take part in guided activities and enjoy a Made Together Moment, where families collaborate on a craft such as jewellery making or ceramics.
With small groups of up to 22, the trips are designed specifically to help curious families discover the world together through shared learning and meaningful connections with local people.
New trips include Wildlife of the Galapagos Islands, Best of Northern Thailand, Highlights of the Loire Valley & Bordeaux, Peru Family Journey: The Amazon & Machu Picchu, and Southeast Asia Family Journey: Halong Bay and Angkor Wat.
