Ambassador Cruise Line Launches New Trade Portal

Ambassador Cruise Line has officially launched its brand-new Trade Portal, giving travel agent partners a quicker, easier and more intuitive way to search, book and manage Ambassador sailings.

The new system is now live following a phased onboarding programme and an extensive period of development and testing. Trade partners are being asked to move across by 30 September, after which time the previous Portal will close.

Rather than simply updating its existing platform, Ambassador reviewed the complete booking journey from an agent’s perspective to build a new system tailored to their specific needs and requirements.

Feedback from the cruise line’s wider trade network was combined with the expertise of specialists at ROL Cruise, who have worked closely with Ambassador’s IT development team since February to test and refine the Portal around the way agents search, quote, book and manage cruises.

The result is a one-stop shop bringing cruise search, booking management, live campaigns, incentives, training, downloadable marketing assets, ship visit requests and business support together in one place.

Enhanced search functionality mirrors the guest journey on Ambassador’s website, while personalised dashboards display the latest campaigns, promotions and incentives relevant to each partner’s business.

Nicola Harper, Head of Distribution at Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “Our trade partners are a vital part of Ambassador’s success, so I am delighted that the new Trade Portal is now live and giving agents a much simpler way to do business with us.

“We made a conscious decision not simply to update the existing system. We looked again at the whole journey from an agent’s perspective and worked closely with ROL Cruise and our wider trade network to create something practical, intuitive and genuinely built around the way agents work.

“This launch has been a major collaborative effort across the business and I would like to thank everyone who helped develop, test and deliver the Portal. It provides a strong platform that can continue to develop alongside our trade partners and our business.”

Trade partners will also have their own secure accounts rather than relying on shared agency logins, providing more personalised access to the Portal and making it easier for Ambassador to support individual agents and their businesses.

Trade partners can access the new Trade Portal at www.ambassadorcruiseline.com/travel-partners/login/.
