Amadeus River Cruises has released details of its ‘Classical Music on the Rhine’ themed cruise which has been designed especially for classical music lovers.
The eight-day cruise from Amsterdam to Basel departs 18th October 2022 and features a number of musical and cultural highlights including:
- Private concerts in St. Thomas Church in Strasbourg, at the Dominicus Church in Amsterdam and in Beethoven’s house in Bonn
- Incomparable performances from famous artists such as the organist Daniel Maurer
- Onboard musical entertainment provided by the Dudok Quartet and the Nathan Quartet
The cruise, which takes place on the five-star Amadeus Cara, starts with an overnight in Amsterdam and calls in Utrecht, Cologne, Cochem, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Speyer and Strasbourg before finishing in Basel.
Launching in Spring 2022, the 163-guest Amadeus Cara will combine the luxury of a five-star hotel with innovative design and first-class service.
There are 72 spacious deluxe cabins and 10 Amadeus Suites. The Panorama Restaurant will offer imaginative menus drawing inspiration from the regions the ship travels through, and Café Vienna will serve up a wide variety of authentic Viennese coffee-time specialities.
There will also be a fitness and massage room and an inviting sun deck with a lower sun deck lounge.
Cruise prices start from £1,686 per person (if booked before 28th February) for the eight-day cruise with all meals, wine with lunch and dinner, onboard entertainment, two shore excursions in Heidelberg and Strasbourg, complimentary use of onboard bicycles and port taxes.
