Vueling has introduced a new onboard menu that provides travelers with plant-based and gluten-free dining options while in the air.
For vegans, a box snack is available featuring roasted red pepper dip, rosemary crackers, seasoned green olives, hummus and baklava, and a quinoa salad with chickpeas and mint.
Gluten-free selections include vegan biscuits with double chocolate, hazelnut and banana, and a delicious chocolate brownie.
The little ones can enjoy a healthier children’s menu that includes an organic strawberry and banana snack with no added sugar or salt.
The airline had also simultaneously launched its first in-cabin incentive programme to reduce the use of single-plastics onboard, in line with its commitment to sustainability.
The programme will offer a 50 cent discount on every drink purchase for every customer who brings their own bottles/cups.
Customers will also have the option of buying a reusable aluminum bottle while onboard. The bottle purchase includes a hot drink or soft drink, free of charge.
Vueling estimates that more than 800 tonnes of plastic in 2021 were reduced thanks to the introduction of eco-friendly materials in its cabin packaging.
