New ‘Amazement Park’ To Open In Bristol This Summer

The creators of Boomtown – one of the UK’s most popular immersive festivals – are launching a new tourist attraction this summer, an amazement park called ‘Wake the Tiger’.

A ‘brand new concept’, it promises a ‘fantastical experience’ with a collection of over 100 artists including storytellers, poets, scenic artists, robotics experts, fabricators, costume makers, architects, videographers and prop makers.

A statement by the company said that the park will “blur the lines between an art gallery, theme park and film set, with a playful psychedelic twist throughout.”

Located in Bristol, the park is expecting 300,000 visitors per annum and will generate at least 55 new jobs for creatives, hospitality and production teams in the local area.

On arrival at the amazement park, visitors will enter a secret portal into the amazing world of Meridia – “a multilayered maze of immersive environments, secret passageways, hidden forests, temples, ice caves and mesmerising wonders.”

The experience and attraction will be suitable for all ages and will encompass interactive environments and brand new multi-layer experiences.
