easyJet Celebrates First Summer Flights From Aberdeen To Manchester

easyJet has launched the first flights on its seasonal summer route from Aberdeen to Manchester on 28 March 2022.

The airline’s double-daily service to London Gatwick has also recently taken off for the summer season.

Both routes will provide stronger domestic connectivity from Scotland to key cities across the UK.

Flights to Manchester are now operating up to five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays between 28 March and 28 October 2022, with fares available from just £22.99.

Additionally, the double-daily service to London Gatwick is also now operating with flights departing in the morning and afternoon throughout the summer season between 28 March and 29 October 2022, providing convenient connections to London and the south of England.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said:

“We are delighted to be celebrating the launch of our summer operations from Aberdeen and to be providing even more choice for our business and leisure customers alike.

“We are proud to be the largest airline in Scotland and remain dedicated to offering low fares and convenient connections for our customers here as well as for those across the UK looking to explore the fantastic experiences Scotland has to offer.

“We are looking ahead to what we expect to be a strong summer for easyJet, with plans to return to near 2019 levels of flying. We can’t wait to welcome more customers back on board.”

Mark Beveridge, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport said:

“It is great to see easyJet growing its offering and presence at Aberdeen International Airport with the seasonal Manchester route returning today and London Gatwick service now twice daily.

“Rebuilding our connectivity will play a vital role in supporting the economic recovery of the northeast and we know the Gatwick route has been incredibly popular so we are delighted easyJet is doubling its daily frequency to meet demand.

“Our passengers and stakeholders were delighted when the restarting of this route was announced and welcome this new increased frequency.”

easyJet currently serves four Scottish airports, offering over 94 routes to over 46 destinations from Scotland to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

This summer, easyJet is set to operate nearly five times more seats from Aberdeen than it did in summer 2019.
