Qatar Says It Now Recognises The NHS Covid Pass

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has updated the country’s travel policy.

As of Saturday 30 April 2022, the NHS Covid Pass will be accepted in lieu of the previously required online registration – providing the user meets the immunity criteria reflected in the app.

For EU and UK nationals and residents, a pre-travel PCR test is optional, though if not taken, a Rapid Antigen test must be done within 24 hours of arrival into Qatar instead.

It remains mandatory to download and activate Qatar’s Ehteraz mobile health application to show a green health status while in Qatar.

Other requirements include:

  • All visitors to Qatar who are fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine approved/recognised by the MoPH, and which is within a designated immunity validity period, are not subject to quarantine, unless travelling from a red list country
  • All passengers must sign an Undertaking and Acknowledgement Form before arriving in Qatar. The form is available on the Ministry of Public Health website, pre-registration platform website www.ehteraz.gov.qa and the airline online booking form
  • Travellers should download the Ehteraz mobile application and activate it on their mobile phones using a local or international SIM card on arrival.
