Emerald Cruises’ Luxury Yacht Azzurra Christened In Venice, Italy  

Emerald Azzurra was officially named on Saturday in an intimate christening ceremony in Venice, Italy.

In attendance were Glen Moroney, Founder and Chairman of Scenic Group, of which Emerald Cruises is part of, and his wife Karen Moroney, Director of Project Design.

Also present were embarking guests, Emerald Cruises staff who were part of the team responsible for delivering the yacht, and local dignitaries.

Speaking during the ceremony Moroney said: “Scenic Group holds a unique position of owning the complete end to end process where we design, build and operate our vessels”.

Moroney added: “Special thanks must go to the project team, headed by Ivo Skelin, for their commitment and dedication during the building of Emerald Azzurra.”

The Godmother Sarah Wikevand, Joint Managing Director at Reader Offers Ltd (ROL) was unable to attend the ceremony and was represented by Rosie Cairns, Joint Managing Director at Reader Offers.

The 100-guest luxury yacht boasts opulent suites & staterooms, à la carte dining restaurants and a water sports boat.

She will now set sail on a series of 8 to 25-night itineraries around the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas.  

Savings of up to 35 per cent and a free Premium Drinks Package are now available on bookings made for the Gems of the Arabian Peninsula itinerary, departing December 2022 and January 2023.

The nine-day ocean cruise sails from Doha to Sir Baniyas Island, Abu Dhabi, Khasab, Fujairah, Zighy Bay and Dubai, with prices starting from £3,827.

Guests can also save up to 30 per cent on Emerald Cruises’ French & Italian Rivieras with Corsica, departing October 2022.

The tour calls at Nice, Menton, Portofino, Portoferraio, Calvi, Bonifacio, Porto Ercole and Civitavecchia, with prices starting from £2,635.
