Tahiti Tourisme has added three new islands to its diving campaign; Tubuai, Manihi and Taha’a.
With crystal clear waters and abundant marine life, divers can come face-to-face with sharks, rays, turtles, dolphins and whales and more.
Tahitian waters are teeming with life with each dive bringing a new treasure to uncover and a new story for visitors to share once they make their way back to land.
Here is some information on each of the islands:
Tubuai
Located in the Austral Islands, Tubuai is home to many drop-offs, coral gardens, small caves, canyons and more. Explore an awe-inspiring lagoon, teeming with fish of all sizes. The atoll hosts two must-see dive sites; Lou Gobi and The Fabulous Drop-off.
Manihi
Located in the Tuamotus islands is Manihi atoll. Manihi is home to one of the South Pacific’s most precious treasures – the black pearl. With two key dive sites, The Turipaoa Pass and The Circus, there is a lot to take in when swimming in Manihi’s lagoon with its brilliant coral reefs, sea life and warm crystal-clear waters.
Taha’a
Taha’a, located on the Society Islands, is well known for its vanilla-scented air, due to the many vanilla fields it is home to. The beaches of Taha’a are blanketed in shimmering white sand with the calm, crystal clear waters of the lagoon teeming with fish and coral. The sea is very busy off Taha’a with the fish (small and large) that inhabit its waters. Notable diving sites here are the Paipai Pass and Ruutia, Tau Tau, Taputapu.
