SunExpress has announced that it will expand its flight portfolio from the UK.
The airline will add Newcastle and Bristol to its route network for the summer 2023 season.
It has also increased capacity for the UK market by adding an additional 10,000 seats in September and October.
Max Kownatzki, CEO of SunExpress said: “We are proud to have made it through this summer’s peak period without any flight cancellations caused by a lack of ground handling staff across Europe.
“We were able to fly a record number of passengers to their well-deserved holidays. We expect the strong travel demand from the UK to Turkey to continue in the upcoming period.
“We’re looking forward to introducing our new routes to and from Newcastle and Bristol next year to further expand our footprint in the United Kingdom.”
The airline will offer direct flights from Newcastle to Antalya, Turkey, three times a week for summer 2023.
Flights will depart Tuesdays and Saturdays from 28 March with a Thursday flight from 25 May to 28 October 2023.
A new service from Bristol will offer direct flights to Antalya, Turkey, three times a week for summer 2023.
Flights will depart Wednesdays and Sundays from 26 March, with a Friday service from 26 May to 27 October 2023.
SunExpress was recently named ‘World’s Best Leisure Airline’ in 2022 by Skytrax.
The airline currently offers direct flights from Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Luton to Antalya, Dalaman, Izmir, Ankara and Gaziantep.
