The Blonde Hedgehog, a boutique luxury hotel on the island of Alderney, has launched a new Winter Hibernation package.
The carefully curated package invites guests to retreat into its warm and rustic interiors whilst enjoying the beautiful coastal landscapes of the secluded island.
The hotel has also launched a Christmas package in the self-catered The Blonde at La Frette.
Available from 1st December 2022 to 28th February 2023, The Blonde Hedgehog’s Winter Hibernation Package offers outdoor exploration paired with local and seasonal fare.
In one of the hotel’s luxurious suites, guests can draw a warm bath in the Victorian bathtub or cosy up in front of the suite’s private fireplace after a day of wildlife spotting and clifftop walks.
Guests will enjoy the delights of Head Chef Stephen Scott and his daily changing menu, with two four-course candlelit dinners, featuring the best of seasonal produce, as well as the best Sunday Lunch on the island.
Also part of the package is a private cinema screening in the hotel’s lounge alongside winter warming cocktails, and wildlife exploration on an e-bike or with a private guide.
Pets can enjoy the hotel’s own Pampered Pooch add-on, where furry friends can enjoy a ‘doggy mini bar’, plush dog bed, local dog-sitting services and a map of dog-friendly walks.

- Daily breakfast at The Blonde Hedgehog Restaurant
- Two delicious four-course candlelit dinners at The Blonde Hedgehog Restaurant

- Snuggle up under a blanket and watch a film in our private cinema room, accompanied by snacks and one of our winter-warming cocktails
- Return Transfers to and from the airport or harbour
- E-Bike Winter Wildlife Tour or Historic Tour with driver/guide
- Optional ‘Pampered Pooch’ package – including a ‘doggy mini bar’, plush dog bed, options for local dog-sitting services upon request, and a map specifically for dog-friendly walks
