Hattvika Lodge Launches Northern Lights Photographic Tour

Hattvika Lodge is offering guided photographic tours for guests who wish to witness the Northern Lights.

Three types of tours are available for up to four guests daily and can be booked at Hattvika Lodge upon arrival.

Hattvika Lodge is a privately-owned property located in Ballstad, an idyllic fishing village in Norway’s Lofoten archipelago.

Visitors will be taken to the best spots with the least light pollution in search of the Northern Lights. Along the way, they can take in some of the island’s most beautiful and untouched landscapes.

The exclusive tour is available for up to 4 guests daily, and costs approximately £120 for a four-hour tour, £160 for a six-hour tour and £490 for a full-day tour.

Prices include the services of a driver/guide and expert photographic instruction for the entire duration.

The Lodge comes with a modern bistro-style restaurant, Fangst, where diners will be treated to stunning views of Hattvika Bay whilst enjoying an inspired menu filled with seasonal, locally sourced Arctic ingredients.

A three-night short break at Hattvika Lodge between September and April starts from approximately £750 per person in the newly refurbished Fisherman’s Cottage, or Seaside/Hillside suite.  Flights are extra.

The optimum time to view the Northern Lights in Lofoten is during the months of September, October, February and March.
