This week’s Ship Of The Week is P&O Cruises’ Arvia!
A beautiful Excel-Class ship, Arvia is the newest addition to the P&O fleet. She will set sail for her maiden voyage from Southampton, England on 23 December 2022 to sunny destinations including Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands before heading to the Caribbean for her first full season.
Measuring 345m, weighing 185,000 tons and with 15 guest decks, Arvia can accommodate approximately 5200 guests and 1800 crew. The ship is filled with thrilling activities, incredible dining options, elegant venues and spectacular entertainment.
There are attractions and programmes exclusively for tots, kids and tweens as well as elegant adult-only spaces.
The ship also comes with beautiful and spacious rooms and suites ranging from Inside Cabin to Sea View, Balcony, Mini Suites and Suites.

Fun family-friendly activities to highlight to your customers would include Mission Control, a multimedia simulation escape game and WaveLength, an exciting new interactive game show, created exclusively for P&O Cruises, as well as a 30-minute Wallace & Gromit show at the Skydome.
At the Altitude Activity Zone, guests can enjoy a 9-hole mini golf adventure or cool down at the Altitude Splash Valley – an aqua zone with shaded areas, ocean views and open skies up on deck 19.
Those feeling adventurous can brave the high-rope experience at Altitude Skywalk. Set 54 metres above the sea, there are different routes to suit all levels, or head to the Sports Arena for a game of football, basketball, tennis, or cricket.
Arvia comes with a total of 4 pools, an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, 10 infinity whirlpool spas, 10 whirlpool spas, a sauna and a steam room.
There are dance and fitness classes to participate in, as well as wonderful shopping, a library and an art gallery.
Shows & Entertainment
After dark, Arvia is a hub of dazzling shows and world-class entertainment. Your guests can sit back, relax and see Greatest Days, the official Take That musical.
An adaptation of the acclaimed West End musical The Band, the show features the songs of Take That and a beautiful story by Olivier Award-winning writer Tim Firth.
Don’t miss out on new shows from the cast of The Headliners Theatre Company, as well as singers, comedy and live music. A must-do is the new original production Festival!
The Limelight Club is perfect for an adults-only evening of entertainment by some of Britain’s best-loved performers, accompanied by a tantalizing three-course meal.
At 710 Club, your guests can immerse themselves in the seductive sounds of an array of musical genres that have inspired musical director Gary Barlow over the years.
Onboard Dining
When it comes to dining, Arvia is a floating culinary wonder with a wide variety of decadent cuisines to choose from.
Arvia boasts a truly varied offering of more than 30 tempting places to eat and drink on board.
New restaurants created exclusively for Arvia include Green & Co featuring Mizuhana which offers guests exquisitely crafted fish and plant–based dishes.
6th Street Diner is an all–American diner serving breakfast, brunch, dinner and sweet treats, accompanied by great music and ice–cold cocktails.
There are new menus of Caribbean dishes designed by Local Food Hero Shivi Ramoutar at Taste 360 and The Beach House as well as a Mediterranean–inspired menu from José Pizarro in The Glass House and Cellar Door.
There are also seven deck bars and an array of stylish indoor venues serving ice-cold cocktails and a selection of wines.
Elegant Spaces & Features
Head to the Skydome with its retractable roof for some sunshine, global street foods and fun activities like gameshows, cookery demonstrations and live music to spectacular production shows, parties and DJ sets.
In the evening, the space will seamlessly transition into an entertainment venue, showcasing superb production shows, live music, guest act tributes and aerialist performances.
Guests will also be able to enjoy blockbuster movies under the stars on the huge SeaScreen.
The Grand Atrium is the focus of entertainment for the ship. It provides a spectacular backdrop to aerial performers who will descend through the triple-height space.
The Grand Atrium will also host a full programme of live events and entertainment, with local buskers, pop-up talks, magicians and performers.
