Aer Lingus Adds New Route, Doubles Capacity At Newcastle Airport

Aer Lingus Regional will commence a new service from Newcastle to Belfast City on 28 April 2023 with fares starting at £38.99*.

The airline will also increase Dublin flights from five-weekly to daily beginning 27 March 2023.

Ciarán Smith, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines said:

“We are very pleased to be strengthening our schedule out of Belfast City Airport. As the demand for travel options from Belfast only increases, this new route will no doubt be warmly welcomed.

“Earlier this week we announced that we will be adding 15,000+ seats immediately across our existing network from Belfast City, and we will continue to grow these services in the months ahead.”

Chris Ion, Aviation Development Manager at Newcastle International Airport said:

“We are delighted to see Aer Lingus Regional grow its presence at Newcastle International Airport.

“The addition of this daily service to Belfast City Airport more than doubles the airline’s capacity from Newcastle, after recently announcing that their service to Dublin will increase from five-weekly to daily from 27 March.

“This investment provides convenient and flexible access to the heart of Belfast, benefiting business and leisure travellers alike, as well as increasing opportunities for the attraction of inbound tourists to the North East of England.”

With more flights and more choices for the travelling public, the airline is progressively bolstering its Summer 2023 Schedule.

Emerald Airlines will add 180,000+ extra seats from Belfast City Airport this summer, operating over 400 weekly flights to and from Belfast.

Passengers will be able to earn Avios points on all Aer Lingus Regional flights. Tickets are on sale now at www.aerlingus.com
