The Scenic Group is gearing up for the launch of its second ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht Scenic Eclipse II. It is also six months away from the debut of Emerald Sakara, the second Emerald Cruises yacht cruise.
Andrea Stafford, Director of Trade Sales, Scenic Group, said: “Stepping up our trade activity in recent months is definitely translating into bookings.
“Innovative luxury products always catch people’s attention, and we’ve got two amazing launches to shout about.
“We’ve already got plans in place to have trade partners with us at the christening ceremonies, and it is our intention to invite agents on board the yachts to see how they raise the game in the luxury and exploration markets.
“Scenic Eclipse II will be making UK calls in September and we will be showcasing the yacht to the trade, which is already creating excitement.
Stafford said bookings through the trade for both the Scenic and Emerald Cruises brands were running ahead of expectations, with agents reporting strong business from repeat customers and those in search of an ‘elevated’ cruise experience.
“Both new yachts offer that ‘wow factor’ for consumers. We’re doubling our capacity, bringing new itineraries to the market and helping to raise awareness of luxury exploration as a sector in its own right.”
Scenic Eclipse II, sister yacht to Scenic Eclipse, launches in April with a 12-night sailing from Lisbon to Barcelona.
The new Discovery Yacht then embarks on a summer season exploring the Mediterranean, Iceland and Scotland.
Newly announced enhancements include enhancements to the Sky Deck bar, a large, oval-shaped Vitality Pool on the Sky Deck coming in at 8.9m by 3.5m complete with swim jets.
The onboard Senses Spa now has an expanded steam room to accommodate aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain and experience showers.
A new KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds and aromatherapy scents is designed to benefit the mind, body and soul.
There are 10 dining experiences including Scenic Epicure, showcasing dedicated cooking master classes and tasting events with onboard chefs.
The newly named Chef’s Garden @ Epicure features a dining and presentation table able to accommodate up to 14 standing or seven seated guests.
Meanwhile, Emerald Sakara joins the fleet as sister yacht to Emerald Cruises’ existing yacht cruise Emerald Azzura, offering the same mix of opulent onboard facilities, fine dining and curated excursions.
Emerald Sakara will debut with an eight-day Ionian Sea Adventure sailing from Athens to Rome, departing on 5 August 2023.
The ship will operate a summer season in the Med and Adriatic, before heading across the Atlantic in November for a winter of Caribbean and South American itineraries.
