Fred. Holidays has launched a brand new eight-night Egypt cruise and land package that combines a Nile cruise on an authentic luxury dahabiya with land stays and sightseeing tours in Cairo, Aswan and Abu Simbel.
This Egyptian odyssey starts with two nights in Cairo at the five-star Nile Kempinski with visits to the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum as well as an afternoon at Khan el Khalili Bazaar.
On day three, guests can take a short flight from Cairo to Aswan and enjoy a tour that takes them to the High Dam, the Low Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae.
Then, another short flight to Abu Simbel for a two-hour tour before an overnight stay at a hotel that overlooks the temple and has stunning views of Lake Nasser.
The tour also includes an overnight stay on the banks of the Nile with a trip on a traditional felucca exploring the island of Aswan and Elephantine Island, a boat ride to Old Cataract – once the residence of Agatha Christie – for high tea, and an authentic Nubian dinner at a local restaurant.
Also included is a two-night Nile cruise on a Dahabiya sailing towards Luxor with stops at the Temple of Kom Ombo, the village of El Ramady, Edfu and its famous temple, the El Kab tombs, the village of El Hegz and the Temple of Esna.
The cruise finishes in Luxor where guests will spend a night and enjoy visits to the Luxor Temple as well as a full day of exploration with visits to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Karnak Temple.
