Visit Valencia has announced its participation at World Travel Market 2023 from Monday 6th November – Wednesday 8th November.
Visit Valencia will share exciting 2024 news, developments in the city’s sustainability efforts, and a new direct service from Birmingham opening up travel opportunities from the Midlands.
Guests can visit stand N5-520 at the official WTM event to receive first-hand tailored information.
New direct flight from Birmingham
As of 30 October, Ryanair will be operating a new direct route from Birmingham (BHX) to Valencia (VAL), twice a week on Mondays and Saturdays with prices starting at £20 for a one-way flight.
Services to Valencia are also available from Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester and East Midlands Airport as well as London airports including Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted with multiple airlines.
Visitors to Valencia should also stay tuned in as the city continues to flourish as a top tourist destination, 2024 will bring a wave of new hotel openings.
European Green Capital 2024
Named the European Green Capital for 2024, Valencia earned the title through the city’s commitment to sustainability.
As the first destination to measure the carbon and water footprint generated by tourist activity, Valencia has long been paving the way in the sustainable tourism space.

Scheduled to open its doors on 11th November, this centre will become a focal point for art enthusiasts.
It will house an impressive collection of contemporary and classical art, further enriching Valencia’s cultural offerings.
In addition, the ‘Year of Sorolla’ celebrations, commemorating the legacy of renowned Spanish artist, Joaquín Sorolla, will be extended into 2024 through the exhibition “Sorolla through light”.
This captivating exhibition will finally find its permanent home in the new Valencia Fine Arts Museum, showcasing the city’s artistic heritage.
Culinary delights
As the birthplace of Paella, it’s hardly surprising that Valencia has a rich culinary scene that continues to thrive.
Exciting developments on this scene include the recently opened Mercado de la Imprenta where you can sample local produce and foodstuffs in a beautiful former printing press.
Baovan restaurant was recently awarded the Spain National Design 2023 award and was the winner of the Colour Category in the Global Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
The bao restaurant was designed by local interior firm Clap Studio and is located in Valencia’s Ruzafa Neighbourhood promising a unique dining experience for food enthusiasts.
