Iceland Travel has launched a new multimarket digital learning portal in partnership with online training provider Travel Uni / Equator available from 9 September.
Agents can pre-register ahead of the launch by emailing us at icelandtravel@wearelotus.co.uk so they can receive the details first thing in the morning with additional information on offers and commission structure.
Agents will have access to a new range of features and content including training modules on how to sell the destination and a portfolio of guided and self-drive authentic experiences.
The English version of the platform, available from the second week of September, will target agents located in the DMC’s key markets Canada, the UK and the US, followed by other website launches in French and Italian for these markets.
Travel Uni is now opening doors to a new gate of helpful resources to allow agents to learn the right tools on how to sell the destination and its experiences.
The Iceland Travel Specialist Training course invites agents to unearth the talent of Iceland’s endless natural beauty and discover resources to help them sell more Iceland Travel products.
The platform provides access to updated videos and webinars not currently available on the main website to further develop their skills and knowledge.
Upon completion of the course, agents will receive a certificate to officialise they now have the knowledge and expertise to sell Iceland Travel tours for all seasons.
As part of the programme, users will be able to access brochures, maps and roadbooks all of which are in English, French and Italian to make the offering accessible for the company’s key markets.
Iceland Travel was founded in 1936 – back when they called travellers “explorers” rather than “tourists”.
And for almost 100 years now, the company has supported clients with a number of services including a 24-hour emergency line assistance and an Iceland Travel app with helpful information about the areas included in the tours.
Also available is an easy-to-use self-drive calculator tool for a tailored package on the island.
