Royal Caribbean International kicked off its ‘Summed in Scotland’ roadshow with the Royal Caribbean team meeting over 400 trade partners, from a 600-mile radius.
The roadshow ran from 27-30 August and included a lineup of events in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as store visits and homeworker coffee mornings.
The cruise line said that the roadshow came at an exciting time for Scottish trade and guests, following the news that Royal Caribbean has confirmed Scottish air charter for summer 2025, beginning in May.
Thanks to the charter, guests will now be able to fly directly from Glasgow to Bologna to sail a phenomenal Greek Islands itinerary on Explorer of the Seas.
Guests will sail roundtrip from Ravenna (Italy) calling at Santorini, Mykonos and Athens (Greece) and Split (Croatia).
During the roadshow, trade partners also heard all the latest news from Royal Caribbean, including:
- Upper Deck, Royal Caribbean’s new trade loyalty programme where agents can claim up to £500 per booking
- The latest updates to Royal Genie, the brand’s game-changing sales tool that easily creates personalised digital sales brochures for clients.
- Details of Allure of the Seas’ upcoming $130 million amplification ahead of its arrival to Barcelona for Summer 2025
- An overview of new ships joining the fleet, including the second Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas, launching August next year
- What guests can expect from the debut of the Royal Beach Club portfolio, starting with the opening of Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas, at the end of 2025
At the four events, agents then enjoyed a drinks reception, complete with cocktails, food, music and a competition to win a 7-night Caribbean sailing on Wonder of the Seas from Port Canaveral, Orlando.
The Summer in Scotland Roadshow is just the start of the Royal Caribbean’s busy September on the road, with the sales team also kicking off an Ireland Roadshow next week.
