Uniworld’s exclusive private rail partner in Europe – Golden Eagle Luxury Trains – is to feature in three episodes of More4’s new documentary programme The Orient Express: A Golden Era of Travel.

The Golden Eagle Danube Express makes its debut on the show in Episode Two and will be on screens throughout Episodes Three and Four too.
Uniworld is encouraging agents to use the programme as a valuable sales and marketing tool and is offering an incentive on all European Cruise and Rail bookings made between now and 26 September 2025.
Every agent who makes a European booking from Uniworld’s World’s Greatest River and Rail Journeys collection within that period will receive a case of six bottles of Champagne and a place on one of its European fam trips in 2026.

Venice, Istanbul & the Balkans
This 17-day journey starts with a luxury cruise onboard S.S. La Venezia to experience the best of Venice and the surrounding islands. Travellers will then embark on private train journey on the Golden Eagle Danube Express to Istanbul, visiting Alpine lake towns, historic cities across Eastern Europe, the Greek seafront, and more.
The journey ends with a two-night stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet. From £19,978 per person sharing.
Grand Alpine & the Jewels of the Veneto
Guests will kick off this 15-day journey with an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace Hotel in Budapest before transferring to Vienna and taking an onward journey exploring the Alps via luxury overnight train.
Highlights include a lunch on Lake Como, sampling Swiss fondue in Zürich, a private visit to Slovenia’s Postojna caves, and more. Then, the trip continues to Venice and beyond onboard the S.S. La Venezia. From £20,278 per person sharing.
Grand Alpine & the Enchanting Danube
This 14-day adventure begins with a river cruise on the S.S. Maria Theresa, sailing on the fabled Danube River, where locally-based destination experts offer guests insider knowledge and VIP access to exclusive experiences. Guests will then continue on a luxury train journey through the Alps, travelling through Italy, Switzerland, and more. From £20,348 per person sharing.
