This 16-day group holiday blends the country’s most famous sights with two of its lesser-travelled southern islands.

The fully-escorted tour features iconic Japan attractions such as Tokyo’s buzzing neighbourhoods, Hiroshima and Mount Fuji.

Also included is a bullet train ride to Kyoto to uncover its medieval landmarks and Geisha district, Nagasaki’s post-war landmarks and the abandoned industrial towns of Gunkanjima, known as Battleship Island.

Unlike many Japan tours that only focus on the Golden Route, the group holiday also visits the islands of Shikoku and Kyushu, known for their historic craft industries.

Also included are experiences such as a private onsen bath, a ryokan stay, sake brewery tastings and seasonal events like cherry blossom, autumn foliage and sumo tournaments to give guests a deeper and more authentic cultural experience.

Accommodation includes a mix of high-quality three and four-star hotels, and there are 12 departures from September 2026 to November 2027, with return flights from Heathrow. Prices start from £6,079, including a £300 launch discount.

Hayley Morris, Head of Trade Sales and Partnerships, said: “This is a dream itinerary for agents to present, combining wish-list highlights with authentic cultural experiences that few tours offer, a medium-sized group and excellent accommodation.

“Since returning to the country with our Japan Unveiled tour launch in September 2023, Japan has become one of our best-selling destinations, so we’re thrilled to give agents another eye-catching product to help meet demand for this incredible destination.”
