Self-guided tour operator Headwater Active Holidays has unveiled its 2026 cycling collection, featuring eight new holidays across Europe.

FRANCE: CYCLING CHAMPAGNE IN LUXURY
As part of Headwater’s new range of luxury holidays, this four-night cycling holiday of France’s famous wine-growing region will see travellers based at an elegant 5-star hotel in Epernay.
They will cycle through Grand Cru villages and along routes that are dotted with chateaux and vineyards. Passionate local producers will also offer grape and wine tastings and share the family history linked to their vineyard.

SWITZERLAND: CYCLING THE SWISS LAKES – VEVEY TO LUCERNE
On this seven-night journey around Switzerland’s most famous lakes, travellers will experience the best of Switzerland.
At the beginning of the trip, they will explore the medieval town of Gruyeres – the birthplace of Gruyeres cheese – where they’ll explore its fortified 13th-century castle and learn about Alpine farming traditions.
They will take the ferry across Lake Thun to Interlaken, where they’ll enjoy a waterside cycle against a dramatic mountain backdrop. Other highlights include ascending the hairpin bends of the Brunig Pass and exploring the city of Lucerne.

NORWAY: CYCLING THE NORWEGIAN ARCHIPELAGO SOUTH OF BERGEN
Cycling from Bergen, travellers will witness the landscapes of Norway’s fjords, mountains and countryside as they island hop through the Sunnhordland district.
They’ll spend two nights in the village of Rosendal, which offers the option to venture on a hike or even explore the floating Salmon Eye experience centre.
Highlights include visiting Norway’s third-largest glacier, Folgefonna, and the fishery museum in Bekkjarvik. Plus, on the island of Stord, they will enjoy complimentary access to their hotel’s wellness area.
The six-night Cycling the Norwegian Archipelago south of Bergen is priced from £2,819pp, inclusive of accommodation, all breakfasts, five packed lunches, five dinners, comprehensive route instructions, bike hire and luggage transfers. Departures available June to September 2026.
FRANCE: PARIS TO THE SEA ALONG THE SEINE RIVER
This seven-night cycling holiday in the heart of France showcases the natural heritage of the Seine waterway. After a quick train journey from Paris, travellers will arrive in Giverny, where they’ll have the opportunity to stroll the flower gardens of the famous painter Claude Monet.
They will wind through the picturesque streets and historic harbour of Honfleur before arriving at the seaside resort of Deauville on the Normandy coast. The holiday concludes in the fishing village of Trouville.
