Great Western Railway (GWR) is launching its January Sale to help travellers escape the post-Christmas blues with a well-deserved break away in the New Year.

A total of 225,000 lower-cost train tickets are being made available, with 150,000 Standard seats and 75,000 First Class seats offering up to 50% off the most popular Advance fares sold across the GWR network.
The January Sale runs for just four days from Friday 2 January to Monday 5 January, for travel between Friday 9 January and Friday 10 April 2026.
Travellers can enjoy fares from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads for just £22, or First Class Advance Single fares of £38 between London Paddington and Bath Spa, with some journeys available for as little as seven pence per mile.
From winter coastal walks in Devon and Cornwall to city breaks in Oxford, Cardiff or London, the GWR network connects the most popular cities, historic towns and beautiful regions in south-west England and Wales.
