This Swan Hellenic Greenland expedition sails into Disko Bay, where vast fields of icebergs, coastlines and remote Inuit settlements create one of the most visually arresting Arctic landscapes of the season.
As the voyage continues, guests move through a sequence of natural highlights, beginning with the Evigheds Glacier, where the Greenland Ice Sheet fractures into the sea.
The route continues to Ilulissat, the celebrated Icefjord capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier sends vast quantities of ice into the bay, forming ever-shifting sculptural seascapes.
From here, the journey explores Qeqertarsuaq on Disko Island, where black volcanic terrain and the Lyngemark Glacier reveal a rare geological contrast to the surrounding frozen waters, before reaching the remote settlement of Uummannaq, set beneath its heart-shaped mountain rising above colourful coastal homes.
Throughout the voyage, the sense of scale and isolation is heightened by opportunities for Zodiac excursions and optional kayaking with the expedition team, allowing guests to move quietly among icebergs and experience Greenland’s wilderness at water level, surrounded by silence, ice and shifting Arctic light.
The seven-night Expedition to Greenland, Land of the Northern Lights, departing on 27 August 2026, onboard SH Vega, is priced at £5,775 pp (was £7,275, saving £1,500) based on two sharing on a Cruise Plus basis in a balcony cabin with $300 on board credit.
