Riviera Travel has revealed more exciting details on its up-and-coming, solo-only river cruise ship MS George Eliot, which will become the world’s first five-star river vessel dedicated exclusively to solo travellers when it launches in 2027.

Designed to remove the barriers often associated with solo travel, the ship offers no single supplements and a curated onboard experience created specifically for independent travellers who still want to share moments, experiences and destinations with like-minded guests.
Named after one of Britain’s most celebrated novelists, the MS George Eliot was built in 2018 and combines contemporary boutique hotel styling with Riviera’s established river cruise offering. The vessel accommodates just 132 guests, supported by 36 crew members, and features 70 elegantly designed cabins.
