AE Expeditions has announced a themed photography expedition to Antarctica taking place in February 2026.
Guided by some of the world’s leading wildlife and landscape photographers, the 12-day Antarctic Explorer: Through the Lens will give avid photographers the opportunity to learn from accomplished photography guides.
Guides include lead photographer Nigel Danson along with Mads Peter Iverson, Rachel Bigsby, Scott Portelli, James Popsys, and many more.
With the Antarctic summer months offering between 18-24 hours of daylight, each day’s activities will be curated to provide optimum opportunities for photographers.
They can capture one of the world’s most pristine destinations, complemented by captivating lectures, insightful presentations and invaluable tips to help passengers capture unforgettable moments in Antarctica like a professional.
Participants will gain insights into camera setup, composition enhancement and craft refinement, regardless of their camera gear or smartphone, through personalized guidance both onboard and during onshore adventures.
Lead photographer Nigel Danson, a renowned YouTube creator and landscape photographer said:
“Antarctica feels unlike anywhere else on Earth. I’ve wanted to visit since I watched David Attenborough presenting a BBC show about leopard seals when I was just eight years old, and for me it represents the pinnacle of photographic and nature adventures.
“This trip will be my third visit, and I’m every bit as excited as my first. It truly is a trip of a lifetime, and I look forward to welcoming you onboard and shooting together.”
CMO Greg Cormier said: “AE Expeditions is all about immersive, educational and adventurous small ship experiences in some of the world’s most remote destinations.
“We’re thrilled to be offering our passengers the opportunity to learn from this group of exceptionally talented photographers.”
