AIDAcosma Brings Virtual Reality Onboard

AIDA Cruises has announced a new virtual reality attraction onboard AIDAcosma.

Together with YULLBE GO, customers can now look forward to immersing themselves in a range of virtual reality game worlds.

This is the first time that YULLBE GO will be offered on a cruise ship, said the cruise line in a statement.

The virtual reality experience was previously only available at YULLBE World in Europa-Park in Germany.

Guests will be fully equipped with VR goggles and hand trackers. They can move freely “in space” and take on all kinds of virtual challenges.

Special cameras are integrated into the 5K VR goggles to track the exact position of each guest in the room to the centimetre throughout.

Frank Bönsch, Vice President responsible for the digital development of the guest experience on board AIDA ships, said:

“As an innovative company, we are always looking for new opportunities and offerings to bring outstanding experiences to our guests.

“With YULLBE GO, we are now offering a VR adventure for the whole family in a new dimension for the first time on AIDAcosma,”

The YULLBE GO room on AIDAcosma is currently in the first stage of development and will be home to four different experiences.

Thanks to next-generation virtual reality technology, guests will be able to “shrink” themselves into the Hamburg Miniatur Wunderland and three more fantasy worlds.

The new Virtual Reality Experience can now be booked on board AIDAcosma for children aged 12 and above.

Parents must be present for children from ages 8-11.
