Alaska Airlines passengers will have a new lounge area located in the former American Airlines Admirals Club lounge at Terminal 2 of San Francisco International Airport starting later this summer.

Alaska Airlines President of Marketing and Guest Experiences Sangita Woerner said so many people are dreaming of traveling this year. “Therefore, we want to open our newest Alaska Lounge as quickly and efficiently as possible,” he said.

The new 10,000-square-foot lounge will become the second-largest Alaska Lounge in the Bay Area airport. It will include an espresso bar run by a trained barista, a fully equipped bar with local specialties, wines and spirits, as well as a variety of favourite foods.

“We are excited to welcome the opening of the Alaska Lounge at SFO,” said SFO Airport Director Ivar C. Satero. “As air travel’s recovery continues, travellers can look forward to more and more facilities at the SFO.”

Satero thinks the Alaska Lounge offers a great way for potential airline passengers to relax, freshen up, enjoy delicious food and friendly service from their staff.
