Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways, said: “Egypt is unlike anywhere else. The Nile is one of the most beautiful rivers on earth, and sailing down it feels like travelling through time, with one iconic site after another bringing a history we’re all familiar with to life before our eyes.

“We’re thrilled to see such strong renewed interest in Egypt, as travellers seek to experience its extraordinary history, vibrant culture and warm hospitality.”

Inspired by the Timeless Beauty of Egypt

Carrying just 76 guests in 38 beautifully appointed staterooms, including 15 spacious suites, AmaNubia has been thoughtfully designed to provide an intimate and luxurious home along the Nile.

A half-sister to AmaLilia, the ship offers many of the same beloved venues and amenities while featuring its own distinctive layout and design.

Drawing from the carved stone of majestic temples, the flowing waters of the Nile and the rich heritage of Nubian culture, AmaNubia welcomes guests with contemporary elegance infused with regional inspiration.

Guests will enjoy locally inspired cuisine featuring Middle Eastern flavours, a wellness area with spa services, a fitness centre and inviting public spaces designed for relaxation between shore experiences.

Every sailing is accompanied by dedicated Egyptologists, who bring Egypt’s remarkable history to life through engaging lectures, expert insights and guided exploration throughout the journey.

Discover the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile

AmaNubia will sail AmaWaterways’ acclaimed Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, combining a luxury Nile river cruise with hotel stays in Cairo for a comprehensive exploration of one of the world’s greatest civilisations.

The itinerary includes unforgettable visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, as well as an exclusive private visit to the historic Abdeen Palace in Cairo.

As part of the experience, AmaWaterways partners with some of Egypt’s most prestigious luxury hotels. Guests sailing aboard AmaNubia will enjoy a stay at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, while AmaLilia guests stay at The St. Regis Cairo and AmaDahlia guests experience The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo.

Guests may further personalise their journey with optional experiences, including a visit to the magnificent Abu Simbel temple and High Tea at the historic Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan.

Guests can also enhance their journey with AmaWaterways’ optional land extensions in Alexandria, Dubai and Jordan, creating an opportunity for immersive exploration of the Middle East that blends ancient history, vibrant culture and modern luxury.

“Egypt continues to be one of the most exciting destinations in our portfolio, and the response from both our guests and the travel advisors who have experienced our Nile cruises this year has been extraordinary,” said Powell.

“With AmaNubia, we’re continuing to elevate the guest experience through beautifully designed ships, enriching experiences led by expert Egyptologists and partnerships with some of Egypt’s most prestigious hotels, creating a seamless luxury journey from the moment guests arrive in Cairo to the end of their cruise.”

AmaNubia begins sailing in November 2026, joining AmaDahlia and AmaLilia as part of AmaWaterways’ growing Nile fleet, with AmaCleo set to join in fall 2027.
