Ambassador Cruise Line has announced that drinks packages and gratuities are increasing by 18% from 1st September 2023.
The cruise line said:
“With inflation at a record high we have absorbed various cost increases and continue to seek further efficiencies, however, we need to implement an 18% increase on our drinks packages from 1st September 2023, to allow us to maintain our standards and quality services.
“The situation is far from ideal, and we would like as many guests as possible to enjoy our no-fly, premium value proposition and we believe we will continue to offer excellent value for money and the warmest welcome at sea.
“To allow for greater savings and better experiences within our many different lounges and bars we highly recommend booking one of our onboard drinks packages with your sailing, which includes service charges and gratuities before the prices increase.
“There are considerable savings to be made by pre-booking before the price increases come into effect. For any new sailing bookings with a drinks package purchased made before 1st September 2023, we will honour the current prices no matter when your sailing departs.
“With just over three weeks to go, we encourage you to book early and add a drinks package to secure the best possible prices for your drinks and gratuities.

Bar and Wine menu prices will also be going up a further 10% on all sailings departing from 1 September 2023. The price of drinks for individual purchases on board is also set to increase.
Gratuities, if paid separately, will be increasing for all guests on sailings after 1 September, including those who have already booked and those looking to book before the new prices are introduced.
Prices will be increasing to £7pppn on sailings 14 nights and under and £6pppn on sailings 15 nights and over.
