Ambassador Cruise Line’s Ambience Showcase

As part of Ambassador Cruise Line’s 2024 Fam trip programme for valued travel partners, the cruise line welcomed 14 travel agents onboard Ambience to discover the ship and explore Norway’s stunning fjordlands.

Agents sailed from London Cruise Terminal on Thursday 26 September and hosted by Beth Barker, Trade Support Manager and Andrew Santry, Business Development Executive.

The seven-night sailing saw 14 agent partners offered the opportunity to enjoy the ‘warmest welcome at sea’, courtesy of the UK’s affordable quality, no-fly cruise line.

Taking in Stavanger, Eidfjord, Flam and Bergen, the itinerary offered agents the chance to explore Ambience’s impressive facilities, get a taste of her outstanding cuisine, discover entertainment on board and sample the available destination experiences.

Onboard highlights included a Captain’s Welcome presentation; a Q&A with Ambience’s Heads of Department and Dinner in speciality restaurant Sea and Grass with a purple dress code in honour of Ambassador’s brand colours.

Also included was a ‘Sail In’ experience to Eidfjord with the Captain and his officers on the Bridge before the agents enjoyed a taste of Norwegian kayaking and cider tasting; and a rib safari in Flam!

The attendees included representatives from Bolsover Cruise Club, Harley Travel, Lincolnshire Coop Travel Sleaford, Travel Counsellors, Your Co Op Travel, Independent Travel Experts, Inspire –Advantage, Travel Village, Travel Gossip, Hays Travel PTC, Althams Travel, Premier Tavel, Dawson and Sanderson and Go Cruise and Travel.

Karen Cameron, Deputy Head of Trade at Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “With 60% of our sales through the trade, our partners are the backbone of our success.

“The Fam Trip offered us a great opportunity to say thanks to some of our key partners, courtesy of this fabulous autumnal visit to the fjords onboard Ambience, our first lady of the sea.

“We appreciate all the incredible work they do for us and realise that there’s nothing like experiencing a product first-hand.

“Our team had a great time showcasing the best of what Ambassador has to offer as our agent friends ‘enjoyed themselves’ while learning more about our unique product on this incredible Ambassador sailing.”

Ambassador says it views trade partners as “essential collaborators and employs an ‘agent-first’ approach”.
