37 travel agents flew to Majorca for an exclusive one-day taster aboard Renaissance ahead of the inaugural Caribbean fly-cruise season.

The initiative, designed to showcase Ambassador’s inaugural Caribbean fly-cruise programme aboard Renaissance, gave trade partners the opportunity to experience life aboard the cruise line’s third lady of the sea first-hand.

These included representatives of Cruise Kings, Iglu, Hays, Inteletravel, TUI, Midcounties Co-op,, Barrhead Travel, OTT, Cruise Cricle, Travel Counsellors, Fred Olsen, Go Cruise and Travel, Cruise 118, PTS and The Good Travel company.

The day provided the perfect preview of what guests can expect during Renaissance’s Caribbean fly-cruise season.

Running from October 2025 to March 2026, the inaugural season will feature 10 Caribbean Fly-Cruise sailings, with Renaissance homeporting in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Each itinerary will be for a 14-night duration with the exception of two repositioning cruises at the beginning and end of the season.

Agents flew from London Stansted with Ambassador’s Head of Trade (Interim), Karen Cameron, from Manchester with BDE North Midlands, Natalie Hurst, and from Bristol with BDE South West, Jade Cheadle, to join the ship in Palma.

On arrival at the cruise terminal, all were welcomed aboard Renaissance with a cocktail reception, ship tour and Caribbean-themed lunch in the ship’s Creole restaurant.

Agents also enjoyed an exclusive trade presentation, transfers to and from the airport and the chance to explore the ship’s public spaces, lounges and entertainment venues.

Karen Cameron, Head of Trade (Interim) at Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “We know from experience that there’s nothing quite like stepping on board our small-to-mid-size ships to really understand what makes the Ambassador product so special.

“As we prepare to launch our first-ever Caribbean fly-cruise season aboard Renaissance, we wanted to give 37 of our valued agent partners the chance to see her for themselves and get a real flavour of what our guests will experience over the winter months.

“We know that Extreme Day Trips are extremely popular on TikTok and social media, so we thought, let’s jump on this trend and immerse our agents in the Mediterranean sunshine on board Renaissance.

“Our Extreme Day Trip was a fast-paced and fun way to discover the authentic, affordable quality experience that defines sailing with us.

“As the Ambassador brand goes from strength to strength in the market, it was a real pleasure to showcase Renaissance in Palma, and we are confident the day will help our trade partners effectively communicate what a wonderful product we have to their customers with even more confidence.”

To be in with a chance of winning a place on the Extreme Day Trip, agents booking any Ambassador fly-cruise or no-fly ex-UK sailing between Friday 8 August and Friday 15 August 2025 were invited to contact the Trade Team.

Eligible partners were then entered into a prize draw to win one of the spots on the trip, with the winners announced on 22 August 2025. Flights and overseas transfers were covered by Ambassador.

The Extreme Day Trip follows the success of Ambassador’s UK-wide ship visit programme and recent Fam Trip initiatives, underlining the operator’s commitment to equipping the trade with all the tools and support they need to proactively sell Ambassador’s unique affordable quality cruise experiences.
