London’s Heathrow airport is American Airlines largest international connecting complex, a spokesperson at the airline says.
This is great news for those who are looking to fly into the US once the country reopens its international borders in November.
Americans’ Chief Revenue Officer, Vasu Raja, told Simple Flying, “So much of our airline’s long-haul network is built around Heathrow. AA alone operates around 22, 23 flights a day into Heathrow. Between AA and British Airways, we have a massive presence there.
“A little-known fact is our largest international connecting complex is actually London Heathrow. We connect more international customers over Heathrow than we do over Philadelphia, Miami, even Dallas Fort Worth,” said Raja.
