Antigua and Barbuda Launches New Romance Campaign

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Board (ABTA) has launched a new romance campaign, “Love & Wanderlust” to highlight Antigua and Barbuda as the perfect destination for two people in love.

The campaign is part of the tourism authority’s new marketing strategy covering four main pillars – Romance, Yachting and Sailing, Wellness, Heritage and Culture.

Shermain Jeremy, Special Projects and Events Manager for ABTA and Romance Lead said that the weddings and honeymoon market, which was substantially affected by the pandemic, is now poised for growth in 2022.

He also said that ABTA intends to position the twin islands as the premier choice for couples, adding that the ‘Love and Wanderlust’ campaign will become the visual identity for the islands as a romantic destination.

Part of the campaign is a Facebook contest inviting couples to share their romantic photos and videos on the Antigua Barbuda Romance page.

Anyone 18 and above from across the globe can enter by submitting their romantic photos and videos taken on the islands of Antigua and Barbuda.

“We don’t want to tell Antigua and Barbuda’s love stories on our own, we want those with personal experience to share it with us through this contest,” Shermain added.

The most liked photo and most watched video will win a US$100 amazon gift card each. The contest ends on March 28, 2022.
