Australia Overseas Travel Ban Extended

Australia has extended its overseas travel ban by a further three months.

The country’s borders closed on 18th March 2020 and had been due to end on 17th September, however, this has been extended to 17th December, based on specialist medical and epidemiological advice.

The order prevents Australians wishing to leave but it also diminishes any hopes of non-Aussies heading Down Under, including those hoping to visit from a cruise.

It will, however, begin rolling back its covid border measures when 80% of those eligible for Covid jabs in Australia are fully vaccinated.
