British Airways has announced a new daily flight from London Heathrow to Florence, Italy, for Summer 2023.
Starting on 16 April 2023, the new flight will operate daily from London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 at 07:50 on an A320Neo aircraft.
Neil Chernoff, Director of Networks and Alliances at British Airways, said:
“We know our customers love visiting Tuscany, which is why we already operate flights from London City to Florence.
“We’ve added this new route from London Heathrow to the Tuscan capital to offer them even more choice to explore this incredible Italian region.
“Not only is this good news for UK travellers, but also for those connecting in London to and from US destinations.
“The flights’ timings have been optimised for connectivity to popular routes, including New York, Boston and Chicago.”
Florence will be one of 11 Italian cities served by British Airways from London Heathrow in Summer 2023, including Rome, Milan, Venice and Naples.
The London Heathrow to Florence flight joins a host of new routes starting in the Summer 2023 season, such as London Gatwick to Aruba and Guyana, and London Heathrow to Cincinnati, Ohio.
Return flights are on sale from London Heathrow to Florence now, starting from £114. Book at www.ba.com.
The airline has also launched its biggest sale of the year, offering customers huge savings for bookings made before 31 January 2023.
The sale, with offers on more than 100 destinations, includes Europe seven-night holiday packages from £199pp and return flights to the Caribbean from £451.
Travellers looking to fly across the Atlantic are being offered return flights to New York from London Gatwick from £342 and London Heathrow to Los Angeles and Chicago from just £399.
Those wanting to escape the cold and head east to Dubai for a luxury break can do so with return flights from £429, jet off to Barbados from £513 return or fly from London Gatwick to Aruba from £521 return.
Flights to Paris are available from £217 return or Rome from £258 return. Return business class flights include London Heathrow to New York from £1,953 and Boston from £2,015.
Seven-night beach holiday favourites such as the Algarve, Mallorca and Malta are available from just £199pp, with city breaks starting from just £119pp.
All-inclusive European stays are available from £379pp, and flight + car packages are also on offer from £159pp.
Seven-nights in Orlando is available from £499pp, the Caribbean from £599pp and the Maldives from £1199pp.
Those in the market for a mini-break can jet off on three-night trips to New York from £499pp or Dubai from £469pp.
