Celestyal has unveiled details of its newly refurbished ship, Celestyal Journey, which had recently completed a multimillion-dollar refurbishment and technical overhaul.
The ship now features:
- An exclusive Stargazer Suite – the first Celestyal penthouse suite offering a luxury cruising experience
- 148 balcony suites – more Dream Suites than ever before
- 7 speciality dining experiences, including the private chef’s table, live cooking demonstrations, Asian cuisine at Pink Moon, Greek grazing at Fig and Honey, and fresh Mediterranean bites from Smoked Olive
- 8 bars and lounges including a decadent champagne bar and indulgent wine cellars
- 2 glittering pools, an entire deck dedicated to wellness and the immersive Sozo Spa
- A curated and immersive range of experiences highlighting local influence, both onboard and onshore
- 2 fully equipped conference spaces and a multi-purpose Amphitheatre
The offers over 280% more balcony suites, 630 Dream Suites and Cosmos Cabins, 120 Junior Dream Suites, 28 Grand Dream Suites and the line’s first-ever penthouse – the Stargazer Suite.
Dining options include Mediterranean and Greek fare at Thalassa, Fig & Honey and Smoked Olive Restaurant, international flavours at Grill Seekers and Asian fusion at Pink Moon. Cooking demonstrations and private dining are also available.
There are three bars & lounges onboard serving cocktails, champagne and wine at Fizz Club, The Grapevine Wine Cellar and the Blue Bar & Lounge with a live pianist.
The Sozo Experience is an entire deck inspired by the Greek custom of Sozo for wellness of mind, body and spirit.
Guests can work out in the ship’s fitness area with a wide range of equipment from cardio to weights and a dedicated fitness instructor or make use of the tennis and basketball courts and outdoor jogging track.
They can unwind in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, chill out in the Dream Den relaxation area, get pampered at the new Sozo Spa or indulge in a glow up at the new Glow Bar.
The Celestyal Journey also features many open deck areas, with several expansive sundecks with two idyllic pools and Jacuzzis offering spectacular views and connectivity with the sea.
There’s one open deck reserved for suite guests – and a pool with a retractable roof meaning that guests can swim and relax anytime.
Nightly entertainment takes place at The Amphitheatro, a live show lounge that spans two decks. There is live music throughout the ship, cooking workshops and inspiring lectures and a range of activities and facilities at the Kids Club and the arcade.
All Dream Suite guests also have access to The Beach Club, a secluded and tranquil outdoor space, with ice cream stations and juice corners.
Guests booked in Grand Dream Suites also have access to Celestyal’s Concierge Service which features a dedicated priority check-in counter, expedited embarkation and express luggage delivery service including assistance with unpacking.
A dedicated Celestyal Concierge will be available in the exclusive-use Compass Lounge to assist Grand Suite guests with tailored service requests.
Additionally, Celestyal Journey also features two fully equipped conference rooms which along with its multi-purpose Amphitheatro make the ship a perfect choice for meetings and incentives.

Celestyal’s newest ship will set sail on 2 September 2023, taking over the Celestyal Crystal’s program, initially on its popular seven-night “Idyllic Aegean” itinerary visiting Athens, Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini. Mykonos and Milos.

Guests currently holding reservations on the Celestyal Crystal from 2 September 2023, onwards will be contacted by Celestyal, and re-accommodated on sailings on the Celestyal Journey.
