Atmosphere Hotels | Resorts has announced the official opening of its brand new resort in the Maldives, the OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi on 19 May.
Translating from the Maldivian dialect of Dhivehi, ‘Aila’ means family and ‘Fushi’ means island.
The property is a quick 15-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport and offers 268 villas, duplex-style family rooms and a promenade with a café & a wine boutique.
Water villas shaped like traditional Maldivian boats are lined up along the jetty all with views of the bright blue ocean and sugar-white beaches.
The resort also offers dining, activities, a multi-level kids club with a pool and food corner, an overwater gym, and live entertainment.
Sumptuous all-day dining options are available at the Element X Restaurant which serves modern Western, Central Asian, and Far Eastern cuisines.
The X360 Bar features a 1000 sqm infinity pool and a dance floor. Guests can enjoy unlimited orders of refreshing spirits, wines, and beer from the grab and go bar counter.
The Copper Pot Food Truck parked on the beach is perfect for an open-air dinner of the choicest fresh seafood and meat grills.
The La Promenade is located beside a channel that meanders across Ailafushi island with cosy corners, a wine boutique, a souvenir shop, and a café, while The Dome is a futuristic 15-metre theatre and entertainment centre.
