Contiki has brought Uganda back to its portfolio with a new collection of East African wildlife adventures for 2027.

This will give travel agents new opportunities to connect young travellers with the continent’s most iconic wildlife encounters. Departures will start from May 2027 and are available to book now.
The launch also introduces a new accommodation concept across Contiki’s East Africa trips, giving agents a flexible option to offer clients, with travellers able to choose between camping and chalet-style accommodation on the same departure, whilst still sharing the same group travel experience.

For guests seeking a shorter escape, the new Uganda: Gorilla & Chimp Trekking itinerary offers a compelling seven-day option, packing Uganda’s headline wildlife experiences into a shorter trip.
The trip combines gorilla and chimpanzee trekking with game drives through Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks, a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and the chance to discover the source of the River Nile.
