Contiki has unveiled GO WANDER, the biggest transformation in its more than 64-year history. The launch marks a new chapter for the youth travel specialist, with an expanded portfolio and a refreshed pricing structure.
All details correct at the time of publication (02 November 2026).
GO WANDER is the first stage of a multi-year transformation. Its aim is simple: to get more young people exploring the world.
So, why now? Young travellers are looking for more diverse experiences and opportunities to share their adventures.
UK and Irish travellers aged 18–34 took an average of 5.6 international trips over the past five years.[1] What’s more, 75% are likely to consider an organised group trip for part of their next international holiday. Almost six in 10 also prefer smaller groups of 15 people or fewer.[2]
Toni Ambler, Chief Customer Officer at Contiki, said: “GO WANDER is a reinvention of Contiki, inspired by the pioneering spirit that’s been part of our story from the start and reimagined for a new generation of young travellers.”
“With 76 new trips, eight new Travel Worlds built around personal interests, and more ways to travel, we’re giving our travel agent partners more opportunities to match their clients with the right adventure. We’re also giving young people more freedom to explore on their own terms,” Ambler continued.
She added that the new digital experience would make it easier for agents and their clients to discover trips, find inspiration and turn personal interests into memorable travel experiences.
Kelly Jackson, MD & SVP Sales EMEA at Contiki, added: “For our UK travel agent partners, this is about opening up a whole new world of selling opportunities. Young travellers aren’t all looking for the same holiday. With eight distinct Travel Worlds, 76 new trips and a refreshed pricing approach, agents now have so many more ways to introduce Contiki to their customers.”
Jackson highlighted the variety of experiences available, from immersive local tours and outdoor adventures to island escapes and luxury holidays.
She also stressed the importance of supporting travel agents with the right products and tools to convert interest into bookings. The wider transformation aims to create more reasons for young people to travel and more opportunities for agents to grow their business.
Contiki Introduces Eight Travel Worlds
At the heart of GO WANDER is a new portfolio structure built around eight distinct Travel Worlds.
The concept, summed up by the phrase ‘Wander Your Way’, helps travellers find trips that match their interests and preferred travel style.
Contiki will introduce 76 new trips by the end of 2026. The expanded portfolio will also offer more choice across destinations, trip formats, group experiences and price points.
Here’s a closer look at the eight Travel Worlds.
1. Contiki Local
Contiki Local focuses on immersive, small-group experiences that help travellers discover destinations like locals.
Rather than concentrating only on famous attractions, these trips leave room for spontaneous discoveries. Think traditional trattorias, local food and the everyday details that make a destination special.
2. Contiki Originals
Contiki Originals features the iconic trips that helped establish the brand in 1962.
These classic adventures, particularly across Europe, remain a core part of the portfolio. They combine Contiki’s heritage with experiences that continue to appeal to young travellers.
3. Contiki Highlights
Contiki Highlights brings together the standout experiences from across the collection.
These trips focus on the attractions and activities travellers won’t want to miss. The aim is to prioritise memorable experiences rather than simply ticking destinations off a list.
4. Contiki Lite
Contiki Lite makes exploring the world more affordable.
These trips offer a more streamlined approach, helping budget-conscious travellers enjoy memorable holidays without paying for extras they may not need.
5. Contiki Outdoors
Contiki Outdoors is designed for travellers who prefer active adventures.
The itineraries explore some of the world’s most adventurous destinations. Activities take centre stage, giving guests the chance to experience their surroundings rather than simply observe them.
6. Contiki Islands
Contiki Islands is all about sun, sea and island escapes.
The collection includes destinations across Greece, Indonesia and the Maldives, with more opportunities to enjoy beautiful beaches and laid-back island experiences.
7. Contiki Festivals
Contiki Festivals gives travellers access to leading music and cultural festivals around the world.
The trips combine festival experiences with the chance to explore destinations and connect with other travellers.
8. Contiki Luxe
Contiki Luxe caters to travellers looking for a more premium holiday.
The collection features a select range of luxury experiences for those who want to enjoy a more elevated style of travel.
Fiji and the Maldives Join Contiki’s Destinations
GO WANDER also introduces two new destinations to Contiki’s portfolio: Fiji and the Maldives.
These additions give young travellers even more ways to explore the world, whether they’re looking for island adventures, cultural experiences or time by the sea.
Contiki is also expanding its itineraries across India and Japan.[3] The move reflects growing interest in Asian destinations.
Passenger travel to Asia increased by nearly 29% between 2023 and 2026, according to the figures cited by Contiki.[4] The new itineraries aim to offer more opportunities for cultural discovery, meaningful connections and independent exploration within an organised group trip.
Contiki Introduces Lower Everyday Pricing
Cost remains an important consideration for young travellers. In response, Contiki has introduced a refreshed pricing model across its portfolio.
The new approach features lower everyday prices. It also removes the need for customers to wait for flash sales or limited-time promotions.
For travel agents, this provides a clearer pricing proposition when discussing Contiki holidays with customers. It also gives younger travellers more opportunities to plan and budget for their next adventure.
Contiki Launches New Travel Micro-Drama
To mark the launch of GO WANDER, Contiki has premiered On Contiki, a vertical micro-drama directed by award-winning filmmaker Gracie Otto.
Set in Costa Rica, the series follows four young travellers as they navigate new adventures and the challenges of forming friendships on the road.
The series is available on TikTok and YouTube. Contiki is encouraging travel agents to recommend it to younger customers as a way to showcase the brand’s travel experiences.
GO WANDER Now Available to Travel Agents
GO WANDER is now live, marking the first stage of Contiki’s wider transformation.
Travel agents can find more information about the new Travel Worlds, itineraries and pricing through the dedicated agent platform at agents.ttc.com.
