Cornwall Tops UK Search Charts

As the UK experiences its first official heatwave of the year, Cornwall has emerged as the most sought-after staycation destination. *Details correct at time of publishing.

According to Semrush, Cornwall saw over 20,500 Google searches for holidays this month – more than double the Lake District (8,900).

The uptick in interest follows Met Office forecasts predicting highs of 28°C into early July², with long-range predictions suggesting that the warmer, drier weather could continue throughout the month.

The heatwave has prompted a rise in demand for last-minute UK breaks, particularly in coastal destinations where sea breezes and open spaces offer a welcome escape from the heat.

Luxury holiday rental company Perfect Stays – which offers high-end properties across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset – is encouraging travellers to take advantage of remaining summer availability, with many homes just steps from the sea.

Many of Perfect Stays’ Cornwall homes have been designed with hot weather in mind – think sea air, shaded terraces, garden showers and direct beach access.

With short breaks available and flexible arrival dates, they’re ideal for families, couples or groups of friends looking to get away.

Even the simplest of tasks can feel daunting when it’s over 30 degrees, so Perfect Stays’ inclusive concierge service makes all the difference.

From private chefs and pre-arrival food deliveries to restaurant bookings, surf lessons and shaded spa treatments, the team can organise every detail, so you can simply relax and enjoy the sunshine.

Whether you’re travelling with little ones, extended family, or friends, these coastal homes make summer in the UK feel effortless.
