The Caribbean is the “dream” Christmas destination for UK cruise passengers.
According to a survey conducted by cruise specialist, cruise.co.uk, 45% of its customers would ideally spend the festive period sunning themselves across the region’s tropical waters.
Destinations include Jamaica, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Antigua and Saint Lucia where temperatures average between 26°C and 29°C.
The second favourite Christmas getaway according to the survey was the Canary Islands at 13%, followed by the Mediterranean at 11%.
Tony Andrews, Deputy Managing Director of cruise.co.uk, said:
“Rather than have a traditional Christmas at home, it’s clear most UK cruise passengers would prefer to pack their bags for the unrivalled sunny shores of the Caribbean.
“The chance to kick back and enjoy the festive period on sandy white beaches, amid clear blue skies, is unquestionably top of the Christmas wish list.”
