Cunard Line, Carnival Corporation & Plc (US)’s cruise operator based at Carnival House, Southampton (UK), will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its pioneering world voyage in 2023. It will be celebrated by the voyages of two ships Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.
Queen Mary 2 will sail 117 nights round-trip to New York passing through Colombo, Singapore and Hong Kong, imitating the world voyage that RMS Samaria undertook in 1923, following the previous RMS Laconia voyage.
The cruise will also include overnight stops in Dubai, Sydney and Cape Town while traveling from Southampton via Asia, Australia and South Africa. Cunard Line costs the unique cruise starting at US$21,499 per passenger.
Meanwhile, the Queen Victoria cruise for 92 nights will travel from New York to Southampton with stops in Hong Kong, Singapore, Cabo San Lucas, Colombo, San Francisco, Hilo, Honolulu, Manila, Napoli, Aruba, Jordan, Tonga, and the Panama Canal. The historic cruise is priced at US$18,499 per passenger.
“Cunard pioneered World Voyage and a century later we are as excited about this very special voyage as ever,” said Simon Palethorpe, President of Cunard, in California, Tuesday (16/3).
Centenary World Voyages in 2023 will provide guests with a unique opportunity to celebrate 100 years of visiting the four corners of the globe in true Cunard luxury. Enthusiasts can buy their tickets at this time.
