Disneyland Resort will welcome Disney fans to the return of D23 Day on 13 August 2026. The event will take place one day before D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event begins in Anaheim.

The celebrations will bring fans together for a day of imagination, storytelling and entertainment at Disneyland Resort. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will then run from 14-16 August 2026.
All guests with valid theme park admission and a reservation can attend D23 Day. This includes D23: The Official Disney Fan Club Members and D23 Event 2026 attendees.
Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party will also begin on 13 August with a one-day event at Disney California Adventure park. A multi-day event will follow at the Downtown Disney District from 14-16 August. Further details are available on the Disney Parks Blog.

D23 Day at Disneyland Resort
D23 Day at Disneyland Resort on 13 August will mark the countdown to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
During the one-day celebration, guests can enjoy themed moments and popular experiences inspired by the worlds of Disney. The programme will include special entertainment, dance parties, themed merchandise and more.
Guests should check Disneyland.com and the Disneyland app on the day of their visit for the latest entertainment schedule. More information about the app is also available through Disneyland.com.
Complimentary Ear Hats and Commemorative Guides
Beginning at park opening on 13 August, guests entering Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure park may receive a complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hat.
The hat will feature the D23 Day at Disneyland Resort logo. Guests may also receive a commemorative guide.
Guests must hold valid park admission, and the items will remain available while supplies last. Quantities are limited.
Disney Legends Cavalcade
The Disney Legends Cavalcade will take place at Disneyland at 1:30pm.
Guests can find a position along the parade route and watch 23 characters travel down Main Street, U.S.A. The cavalcade will also feature the Disneyland Band and selected Disney Legends.
Disney Legends receive recognition for the unique and influential legacies they have created at Disney.
Entertainment Across Disneyland Resort
D23 Day will offer entertainment throughout the resort, including dance parties and special character appearances.
Guests exploring Fantasyland at Disneyland may encounter Merlin from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Sword in the Stone. The Blue Fairy from Disney Animation’s Pinocchio may also make an appearance.
Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland will feature music throughout the day and evening.
From 2pm-6pm, young children and their families can dance with Stitch and his friends at “Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Bash”.
The “Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party” will then take place from 7:30pm-11:30pm.
D23 Day Photo Opportunities
Guests can commemorate D23 Day at several themed photo locations across Disneyland Resort.
D23 Day icon photo opportunities will be available at:
- Town Square at Disneyland
- Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure
- Downtown Disney
Photo booths at the Hollywood Backlot in Disney California Adventure and Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland will also offer D23 Day-themed photo strips. An additional fee will apply.
Complimentary Disney PhotoPass Downloads
All park guests with valid admission and theme park reservations for 13 August may receive complimentary unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day.
Disney PhotoPass will also offer special Magic Shots during the event.
Activities at Disneyland Resort Hotels
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings will host a special experience at Rose Court Garden at Disneyland Hotel on 13 August.
Guests can enjoy immersive entertainment and unique photo opportunities. They can also discover how Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings brings love stories to life.

Throughout August, Disneyland Hotel will also feature a photo opportunity inspired by the upcoming film Camp Rock 3.
Special D23 Merchandise
Several collections and limited-time items will become available across Disneyland Resort from 13 August. All merchandise will remain subject to availability while supplies last.
Disney Princess Concert at Disney California Adventure
A limited number of fans may have the opportunity to attend a live performance of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” at Disney California Adventure on 13 August.
Taking place ahead of World Princess Week, the concert will bring together the largest gathering of Disney Princess talent ever assembled.
It will celebrate iconic stories from animation, live-action productions, stage shows and music. Attendance will be limited and may require guests to complete additional steps.
The concert will feature lights, large-scale projections and fountains. Together, these elements will create an immersive celebration of Disney Princess music, magic and legacy.
Fans unable to attend in person can stream the concert on Disney+. They can also watch it on Disney Channel, Freeform and The Wonderful World of Disney on ABC on Sunday, 16 August.
Concert Times and Location
- Virtual queue enrolment begins at 12pm PST
- Performances will take place at 8:30pm and 9:45pm PST
- Location: Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure
Guests will require a virtual queue confirmation, wristband and valid admission for Disney California Adventure.
How to Join the Virtual Queue
On 13 August, guests can request to join the virtual queue through the Disneyland app at 12pm PST.
They must first enter Disney California Adventure. Alternatively, guests with a valid Park Hopper ticket can make the request after entering Disneyland.
Disney will assign guests an admittance group when they join the queue. Once Disney calls their group, guests will receive a push notification.
They must then proceed to the Hyperion Theater Courtyard between 4pm and 6pm. Guests will need to scan their ticket or entry code to collect a wristband.
Virtual queue admittance groups will be extremely limited and available while supplies last.
Disney will only distribute wristbands to guests who have secured a virtual queue admittance group entry code and signed a filming release form.
Wristbands have no cash value and cannot be sold. Disney will not replace lost, stolen or damaged wristbands.
Wristband availability and procedures may change without notice.
Photography, filming and recording of “Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration” will take place during the performances. Show times may change, and Disney may cancel performances without notice.
D23 Offers and Discounts at Downtown Disney
From 1-16 August, selected Downtown Disney District locations will provide special offers or discounts.
Guests must present a D23 Event badge or D23 Gold Membership Card to access the offers. Full details are available at D23.com.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
Following D23 Day at Disneyland Resort, the celebrations will continue at the nearby Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center from 14-16 August.
