The base launch is part of the long-term partnership between easyJet and the Moroccan National Tourist Office, signed in autumn 2025 and will allow the airline to offer a record 4 million seats in the first year of the base’s opening.

The new permanent, year-round base in Marrakech has enabled the creation of one hundred new jobs and thousands of indirect jobs, cementing the airline’s #2 position in Marrakech and strengthening its presence in Morocco.

On this occasion, easyJet is also announcing the launch of 6 new routes to Morocco for next winter:

Prague, Newcastle and Zurich to Marrakech, now on sale and Nantes-Essaouira, Bordeaux-Agadir and Birmingham- Agadir coming on sale this spring, bringing the total number of routes to Morocco to 58, including 30 to Marrakech.

Several existing routes will also see their operations extended, as Lille, Strasbourg, and Hamburg-Marrakech will now be available year-round.

The airline’s growth in Morocco also has a positive impact on easyJet holidays’ proposition, as Morocco continues to be one of the fastest-growing markets for package holidays.

In Marrakech, easyJet holidays offers more than 70 hotels from three to five stars, including a selection of hand-picked luxury hotels for its “Luxury Collection,” launched in October 2025 in the United Kingdom, with the first customers travelling in April 2026.

Kenton Jarvis, CEO of easyJet, commented:

“We couldn’t be happier to launch our base in Morocco for our 20th year of operations in the country and to mark the milestone of 20 million passengers flown over that time.

“This is a milestone for our development in the region, providing more travel opportunities than ever before for our airline and holiday customers, while contributing to the local economy through tourism and the jobs we are creating.”
