easyJet has opened a new customer service centre in Milan.
The airline said in a statement that its Italian customers can “count on the dedicated support of a growing team of around 40 Italian speaking agents.”
The company has also extended the opening hours of the customer service team while enhancing support for its Italian customers this summer.
The new centre adds to the airline’s network of 9 centres located globally in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Lisbon, Mumbai, Rabat, Marrakesh, Iasi and Warsaw.
There are 2500 operators assisting customers and responding to 21’000 daily clients’ requests in 5 minutes on average every day.
The new centre is now operational and is located within the Torri Bianche Shopping Centre in Vimercate (Milan).
It was developed in cooperation with Webhelp, a leading global provider of customer experience and business solutions, managing easyJet’s customer service globally.
Lorenzo Lagorio, easyJet Italy Country Manager, said:
“In the past weeks we have consolidated our flight programme for the remaining months of the summer season and while most of our customers have been rebooked on alternative flights, we have taken this decision with the very aim of avoiding disruption and last-minute cancellations helping to provide reassurance to customers booking an easyJet flight for their holiday this summer.
“Delivering a safe and reliable operation in this challenging operating environment so we can take our customers away on their holidays this summer is easyJet’s highest priority.
“In terms of network, this summer easyJet will operate up to 1,700 flights a day, of which 400 to and from Italy, carrying around a quarter of a million passengers every day, of which 65,000 to and from Italian airports.”
