EasyJet Says Recovery Is Under Way

UK’s EasyJet said “travel is back” as it increases capacity for October-December by up to 70% of its pre-pandemic level.

The carrier has added another 100,000 seats for the first quarter of 2022 in anticipation of high demand for holidays to winter sun destinations such as Egypt and Turkey.

The airline will also schedule more flights to the Canary Islands in October. It is also seeing more bookings from business travellers.

“It is clear recovery is underway,” Chief Executive Johan Lundgren.
