Ecuador Announces New Travel Agent Incentive

Ecuador has announced a new travel agent incentive for summer 2023 to promote one of its most important gastronomic products, cacao.

Travel agents are invited to register their Ecuador bookings to win samples of an exquisite Ecuadorian chocolate, belonging to the exclusive “Ecuador, The Origin of Cacao” trademark, known for its quality worldwide.

Cacao and chocolate have been emblems of Ecuadorian culture since being discovered by the Mayo Chinchipe Marañón, who were the first people to consume cacao 5,300 years ago.

The destination is also pleased to showcase a wide array of new tours, sellable via the travel trade, that offers some of the most captivating experiences in Latin America.

For a chance to win one of ten prizes of Ecuador’s chocolate and other goodies, agents are encouraged to share their Ecuador bookings (registered between 6 June and 31 July) with Ecuador@wearelotus.co.uk.

Neils Olsen Peet, Ecuador’s Minister of Tourism says:

“We’re very pleased to see the UK travel industry increasing touring opportunities in Ecuador and shining a light on our diverse tourism offering, and lesser-trodden areas such as the Island of Isabela.

“Travel agents play a huge role in raising awareness of our unique culture, heritage and geography, and so we are delighted to reward bookings made over the next month with our exquisite Ecuadorean chocolate, the best cacao born in the middle of the world.”
